According to Page Six, Joseph Saladino, the town supervisor confirmed the singer took part in the April 13 beach cleanup.
Saladino is quoted in the article. He said, “He got up early and came out on a morning with not ideal weather, and was so gracious to everyone. He’s a big supporter of the environment," according to Page Six.
Joel’s family moved to the Long Island suburb of Hicksville when he was just a year old. He now has two homes on Long Island; one of which he purchased in Centre Island in 2002 for $22 million. The other is located in Sag Harbor.
